Animal Caretaker (full-time, 40 h) – Preclinical Research

Your tasks
In this position, you will take on a central role in the care of our laboratory animals and actively support our research work:
- Care and care of laboratory animals (e.g. changing cages, cleaning of animal husbandry rooms, maintenance of equipment)
- Supervision of the breeding of transgenic mouse and rat lines including documentation
- Observation and control of the animals with regard to behavior and health status
- Detection of diseases and participation in prevention measures
- Care and care of sick animals
- Professional disposal of waste
- Preparation and organization of animal transport
Your profile
- Experience in handling laboratory animals, ideally mice and rats
- Professional experience in laboratory animal care is an advantage
- Responsible, careful and flexible way of working
- Physical resilience
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
- Good knowledge of German and/or English, both written and spoken
- Basic computer skills are an advantage

Salary
For this position, a collectively agreed minimum gross salary of EUR 2,528.04 per month (14× per year) applies to full-time employment (40 hours per week). Depending on qualifications and relevant professional experience, overpayment is of course possible. We will be happy to discuss the specific remuneration in a personal meeting.
