As an Associate in the Procurement Consulting team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to support the delivery of domestic and international procurement and value creation projects. You will contribute to analyses, client workshops, supplier evaluations, and implementation activities while developing your consulting and procurement expertise in a fast-growing advisory environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of procurement transformation, cost optimization, and operational improvement initiatives across different industries and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support colleagues and clients across a diverse range of engagements, including:

Supporting the assessment of current procurement processes and gathering information from stakeholders to understand business requirements and strategic priorities

Conducting spend, supplier, and market analyses to identify cost reduction, process improvement, and value creation opportunities

Assisting in the identification of inefficiencies, bottlenecks, cost drivers, and risks across procurement, logistics, planning, and distribution functions

Supporting the development and implementation of procurement improvement initiatives designed to enhance EBITDA, working capital, and operational performance

Contributing to supplier evaluations, benchmarking exercises, RFP processes, and contract reviews

Supporting negotiations preparation through data gathering, market research, and analytical insights

Preparing reports, presentations, financial analyses, and procurement performance dashboards for internal and client stakeholders

Participating in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and project meetings while documenting key findings and recommendations

Supporting change management and transformation initiatives, including operating model improvements, acquisition integration activities, and procurement process optimization

Collaborating with team members across the Value Creation and wider Interpath platform to deliver client engagements effectively

Assisting with business development activities through market research, proposal preparation, and development of client materials

Requirements

Strong academic background with initial professional experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, consulting, or a related field

Relevant internship, consulting, industry, or procurement experience strongly preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data

Understanding of procurement principles, sourcing processes, supplier management, and cost optimization methods

Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding the financial impact of procurement improvements
-
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; familiarity with spend analytics and eProcurement/P2P systems is advantageous
-
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent German and English language skills (C1); additional European languages are considered an advantage

Willingness to travel to client sites across Germany, Austria, Europe, and internationally
