Your tasks
- Define and execute the OAM portfolio strategy and roadmap, aligned with business objectives, customer operational needs, market and technology trends, regulatory requirements, FRMCS evolution, and the GSM-R-to-FRMCS transition.

Manage the OAM portfolio across in-house and third-party solutions, including:

Defining the make/buy/partner strategy and complementing in-house products with third-party solutions to address operational needs.

Owning the lifecycle of internally developed products, from concept and development through market introduction and evolution.

Managing third-party solutions from evaluation and integration through vendor and lifecycle management.

Capture and translate customer, operational, market, standardization and regulatory requirements into product requirements and priorities and roadmap decisions.

Define and evolve OAM capabilities across network and service management, assurance, observability, fault, performance, configuration, inventory, software management and security, driving end-to-end visibility, service health, analytics and root-cause analysis across heterogeneous and multi-vendor environments.

Drive automation and intelligent operations across the OAM portfolio, leveraging advanced analytics and AI where relevant to simplify operational processes, diagnostics, troubleshooting and decision support.

Drive a consistent and intuitive OAM user experience, ensuring effective visualization of operational information and workflows.

Ensure interoperability and integration with customer OSS/NMS/IT environments and multi-vendor ecosystems through appropriate interfaces, APIs and data integration.

Drive OAM capabilities supporting GSM-R/FRMCS coexistence and migration, ensuring converged operability across both technologies throughout the transition.

Work closely with R&D, system architects and engineering teams to align technical direction and ensure products are designed for operability, maintainability, automation, diagnosability, upgradeability and long-term support.

Develop the OAM portfolio value proposition, positioning and support go-to-market activities.

Support sales and customer-facing teams through technical workshops, product presentations, proof-of-concepts, and strategic bid activities.

Monitor portfolio budget execution, ensuring delivery remains aligned with approved business objectives, priorities and financial targets
Your qualification
- Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline Several years of experience in Product Management, System Engineering or Solution Architecture within mission-critical communications.

Experience in mission-critical communication systems.
-
Strong technical understanding of Operations & Maintenance systems for telecommunications or mission-critical communication networks.

Solid understanding of network management systems, OSS architectures, service assurance, and operational workflows.

Eperience with modern observability platforms and technologies, including metrics, centralized logging, distributed tracing, dashboarding and operational analytics (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, or similar).

Experience defining operational KPIs, service health indicators and dashboards that enable proactive monitoring and service assurance.

Good knowledge of IP networking, virtualization, Linux, cloud-native architectures, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.

Experience with railway communication systems, preferably GSM-R and/or FRMCS, or equivalent mission-critical communication environments.

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, software lifecycle management, and secure operational practices.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into product capabilities that improve operability, troubleshooting, automation, and service quality.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, operations teams, senior management, and engineering organizations.

Ability to balance operational efficiency, customer needs, technical feasibility, and commercial objectives to deliver competitive Operations & Maintenance solutions.

Fluent English, German and/or French a plus

We offer a competitive gross annual salary starting at EUR 70,000 per year. A higher salary commensurate with your actual qualifications and experience is possible.
