The Role at a glance
At its heart, this is a versatile front-end engineering role with immediate impact and significant career growth potential. Working alongside our Platform Leadership team and senior engineers, a major focus of your day-to-day will be configuring and launching custom partner setups—owning the custom theming, front-end configurations, and cloud deployment steps required to roll out white-labeled insurance solutions for our clients. This role offers a clear path to expand your engineering capabilities in a cloud-first ecosystem, giving you hands-on experience deploying within AWS, configuring Terraform infrastructure, and touching backend microservices as you grow.
Requirements
What you will do
-
Partner Setups & Configuration: Own the front-end configurations and custom theming required to seamlessly set up and deploy white-labeled platform instances for enterprise automotive clients
-
Build & Maintain UI: Write clean, production-ready React code and utilise modern CSS to build accessible, reusable UI components within our established design system
-
Cloud & Cross-Functional Execution: Deploy and manage configurations within our cloud-first AWS environment, using internal guides to touch AWS Lambdas, Terraform, and Kotlin microservices to support end-to-end partner rollouts
-
Collaborate Remotely: Partner asynchronously with designers to ensure themes match client brand guidelines, and collaborate with backend engineers via code reviews and Slack to integrate APIs
-
Drive Continuous Growth: Propose improvements to partner setup workflows, front-end tooling, and theming architectures while actively developing your full-stack and cloud engineering skill set
What good looks like
-
First 30 Days: You have onboarded into our React codebase, set up your local development environment, and shipped your first partner setup configuration or UI component under the guidance of senior team members
-
First 90 Days: You are independently configuring enterprise partner setups, building reusable React components, and making deployments to AWS test/staging environments using our internal DevOps tooling and guides
-
First 6 Months: You are confidently driving custom partner rollouts end-to-end, expanding your cloud-first skills across AWS Lambdas and Terraform, and contributing to improvements in our platform’s configuration architecture
About you
-
Experience & Education: Degree in Computer Science, STEM field, or equivalent practical industry experience, plus 1 to 2 years of commercial software engineering experience
-
React & Modern UI: Commercial experience building applications with React, including hooks and state management. Deep understanding of HTML, modern CSS (variables, layout modules, Tailwind, or CSS-in-JS), and JavaScript (ES6+)
-
Cloud-First Exposure: Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of cloud-first ecosystems, with the desire and ability to deploy applications in AWS environments
-
Design Translation: A strong eye for UI/UX principles and a track record of translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible, responsive partner applications
-
Engineering Mindset & Growth: Eager to learn and expand beyond traditional front-end boundaries into cloud infrastructure (AWS/Terraform) and backend code (Kotlin microservices)
-
Remote Autonomy & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You thrive in a remote/hybrid environment, manage your time independently, and know how to unblock yourself asynchronously
-
Languages & Bonus Skills: German fluency is a strong advantage. Prior experience with TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns is a bonus.
