Within an international environment and under the responsibility of the EMEA Finance Director, lead all accounting, controlling, treasury & credit management activities for Sumitomo Chemical Agro Europe (SCAE), with a turnover of €150M. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring the reliability of financial statements and reporting, leading budgeting processes, supporting business decisions and driving continuous improvement across finance operations. Manage a team composed of 6 permanent contracts.
- Lead the closing cycle and oversee the quality, reliability and timeliness of financial reporting, including reporting to Japanese Headquarters
- Ensure governance of SCAE consolidation under IFRS GAAP, in compliance with statutory, legal and fiscal requirements
- Steer statutory and internal audit processes and ensure appropriate financial information is available for governance bodies
- Strengthen financial governance, cost accounting discipline and internal control across accounting processes
- Drive accounting transformation initiatives and promote continuous improvement of rules, processes and organization
- Oversee the company’s tax and customs compliance framework, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and business requirements
- Ensure appropriate governance of transfer pricing matters in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Lead the financial planning framework and ensure alignment of forecasts, business assumptions and strategic priorities
- Oversee management reporting and performance monitoring to provide clear visibility on key financial drivers
- Provide financial leadership and business insight to support strategic decisions, projects and resource allocation
- Oversee the company’s liquidity planning framework and ensure visibility on cash requirements and financial resources
- Strengthening treasury governance, cash management discipline and financial risk monitoring across the organization
- Lead credit risk governance to protect working capital, customer exposure and receivable quality
- Manage strategic relationships with banks, cash pooling partners and credit insurers to support business continuity and financial resilience
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, controlling or a related field.
- 10 years of experience leading finance activities within an international environment.
- Strong expertise in IFRS GAAP, accounting, FP&A, treasury and credit management.
- Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical mindset.
- Proven experience in team leadership and cross-functional project management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
