Intact AI is our production-grade AI system, used in real audit workflows where correctness, reliability, and traceability matter. The hard part isn’t shipping demos — it’s making LLM-based systems reliable in complex, document-heavy environments. If you’ve only worked with clean text inputs, this role will challenge you. We’re looking for a senior engineer who wants to own these systems end-to-end, from architecture to production.

ARE YOU READY?
You’ll be our first internal AI Engineer, taking ownership of Intact AI from the external team that built it. You shape architecture and operations from day one.
- Own & Evolve: You take production AI systems end-to-end architecture, deployment, and operations
- Reliable LLM Systems: You design systems that make RAG and agent-based workflows reliable under real-world conditions: quality, hallucination control, structured outputs, latency, cost
- Retrieval & Reasoning: You continuously improve retrieval and reasoning quality in complex, document-heavy environments
- Evals & Guardrails: You define and implement evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for LLM systems
- Production Optimization: You optimize for latency, cost, and robustness in production
- Incident Ownership: You investigate production issues, fix them at the root, and continuously improve system reliability
ARE YOU THE ONE?
- You have a strong track record building and operating production systems — not just prototypes
- You drive systems end-to-end without close guidance
- You’ve taken ownership of production systems built by others: reading, understanding, and evolving unfamiliar codebases is something you’ve done before
- You’re comfortable working across multiple layers : data, models, APIs, and infrastructure
- You’ve built RAG pipelines in production: chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking — and have opinions on what works and what doesn’t
- You’ve built agentic systems that handle multi-step tasks reliably
- You measure LLM quality systematically: evals, regression tests, monitoring
- You think in systems, not just components
- You can structure ambiguous problems and turn them into working solutions
- You’re strong in Python; production experience on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred) is a plus
- Fluent English required; German a plus
