For our dynamic Procurement Team in Gunskirchen, we are currently looking for a SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER (m/f/d)
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery quality in series production for assigned suppliers, including the timely processing and follow-up of quality complaints. The role focuses on implementing sustainable error prevention measures through lessons learned, while ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Our SQE will also maintain documentation and provide evidence for quality-relevant processes, monitor adherence to internal quality procedures such as Q gates and blocking processes, and review and approve quality-relevant technical changes.
Among the others, our Supplier Quality Engineer responsibilities:
Handle the local supply base during serial production
Organize sorting activities and define criteria for rework and inspections
Monitoring and ensuring the series quality of purchased parts from suppliers
Analysis of quality-relevant KPIs, identification of quality problems and derivation of necessary measures including action tracking and reporting
Execute process audits for serial suppliers and implementation of improvement plans
Conduct supplier development projects with selected suppliers
Initiation and monitoring of corrective measures in the event of quality deviations
Handle quality-relevant claims with suppliers by following the 8D process incl. documentation of costs incurred (support claim coordinator)
Collaboration in the release of changes in series production (engineering change management)
Support with escalations (e.g. Q task force, supplier Q escalations)
Maintenance of quality-relevant supplier master data and inspection plans in the ERP/Q system
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or related field
3 to 5 years of experience in quality management; ideally in the series production environment of the automotive or mechanical engineering industry
Knowledge of relevant quality norms and standards
Experience in the application of quality methods
Technical understanding of manufacturing processes - depending on product group
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and assertiveness
Willingness to travel (national/international)
Fluent in German and with a fluency at least at level B2 in English (written and spoken)
We offer
You will receive an exciting position in an international company with many interesting benefits. The minimum salary for this position is EUR 60,962.32 gross/year according to the very attractive collective agreement of the metal industry. An overpayment is possible, depending on your qualifications and experience.
