Your Responsibilities:
-
Work in a motivated engineering team to improve the steady-state and transient performance of internal combustion engines through simulation and testing

Support innovative gas engine development projects with focus on performance improvements, cost out, and operating strategies
-
Support 1D simulation activities with emphasis on turbocharging and gas exchange
-
Support in-house testing on single- and multi-cylinder engines, focusing on mixture preparation, gas exchange, and turbocharging

Analyze investigation results and field data, including interpretation, conclusions, and reporting
-
Conduct literature research to support ongoing projects

Cooperate closely with other functions such as controls, design, mechanical engineering, exhaust gas aftertreatment, and test benches
Your Profile:
-
Student of Mechanical Engineering or similar
-
High motivation and ability to work independently
-
Enthusiasm and good basic knowledge of internal combustion engines

Basic skills to work in a global matrix organization

Good communication skills in English

A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)
The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months starting in September 2026. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.698,59 gross per month (x 14).
