YOUR ROLE
Join an international team working on cutting-edge Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radar, ranging, and distance-bounding solutions for automotive child and passenger safety . You will support lab and in-car testing , usability evaluations with mobile phones , and data analysis to improve algorithms, hardware, and overall system performance. This role suits a motivated, structured, and creative student who enjoys hands-on measurement work.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing & Measurement
- Perform lab and in-vehicle tests of UWB radar, ranging, and distance-bounding solutions, including mobile-phone-based use cases .
- Set up and operate electronic measurement equipment
- Usability & System Evaluation
- Conduct usability tests for mobile phone and in-car interactions (setup, robustness, user flow).
- Design and execute realistic test scenarios for child and passenger safety use cases.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and process measurement data using Python , MATLAB , and Windows Office tools.
- Create clear, structured reports and presentations highlighting results, issues, and improvement proposals.
- Test Strategy & Collaboration
- Contribute to test plan definition and optimization with innovative test ideas.
- Use GitHub , Linux , and Windows environments in daily work.
- Cooperate closely with an international team , communicating findings in fluent English .
Profile / Requirements
Must-Have
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
- Practical experience with:
- Python (data handling/scripting)
- MATLAB (data analysis/plotting)
- Windows Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- GitHub (basic workflow)
- Linux (basic command line usage)
- Fluent English , strong team spirit , structured and reliable working style.
- Motivated, proactive, creative, and efficient , able to work alongside studies.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of UWB, radar, wireless communication, or ranging .
- Experience with automotive or embedded systems .
- Exposure to usability testing or user-centric evaluations.
