What Will You Bring as a Chef?
Your responsibilities include:
- Carrying out both preparation and cooking tasks, including washing and cutting vegetables, preparing toppings and garnishes, portioning and preparing meat, chicken, and other ingredients, as well as assisting with the preparation and presentation of various ramen dishes according to the Kings of Ramen menu. You will perform these tasks as part of a kitchen team of approximately three colleagues under the supervision of the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking dishes while performing ongoing quality and hygiene checks throughout the cooking process.
- Finalizing and inspecting dishes before service, after which the waiting staff can collect them and place them in heated serving stations.
- Planning daily kitchen operations, ordering food products and other supplies from regular suppliers, and checking delivered goods.
- Supervising kitchen assistants, providing instructions, and offering guidance where necessary.
- Before closing each day, cleaning your own workstation, kitchen equipment, and machinery, assisting kitchen assistants with thoroughly cleaning the entire kitchen, and properly storing delivered goods.
- Being a strong team player with a flexible attitude and good communication skills.
- Contributing to quality improvements, menu development and optimization, as well as creating recipes and preparation instructions.
- Preferred qualifications include an MBO Level 3 vocational diploma (or equivalent) with knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
What We Offer
- A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,100, based on a 38-hour working week, according to the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (Horeca CAO).
