To strengthen our global engineering capabilities, we are looking for a Group Lead Process Engineer to set the technical direction for process equipment across Octapharma — driving standardisation, guiding major investments, and connecting engineering expertise across our sites.
The position will be filled in Vienna (Austria), Springe (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden) or Lingolsheim (France).

Your main tasks and responsibilities
Act as the internal process expert, providing guidance to production sites
Contribute to the process engineering strategy, translating it into goals for local engineering teams
Define process engineering requirements for consistent implementation across sites
Assess new technologies and methodologies for their potential to improve processes
Strengthen collaboration across sites through the exchange of expertise and best practices
Provide process engineering guidance aline with applicable safety and quality requirements
Oversee the budget for the area of responsibility, focusing on cost-effective investment decision
Your expertise and ideal skill set
Master degree in engineering or equivalent
10+ years of engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industry
Deep expertise in process equipment and the implementation of new processes and technologies
Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements and risk management
Experience in managing complex engineering projects
Ability to translate business needs into clear engineering priorities
Strong communication skills in a multinational enviroment
Willingness to travel internationally (around 30%)

The Group Technical Organization consists of Group Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance. We are represented at all production sites in Europe.
You will work in a multinational organization supporting all production sites from a technical perspective.
The Engineering department mainly works on project development in the early phases of strategic projects.

Additional information (Austria only):
The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4,355.55 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
