Build. Lead. Shape the future of ATS training in Europe at CAE.
We are launching a new Air Traffic Services (ATS) Training Centre in Europe—and we are looking for a senior leader to take the helm.
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a flagship training operation from the ground up, starting in Vienna and expanding across several European locations. As the Head of this new centre, you will set the vision, establish operational excellence, and create a high‑performing, customer‑focused organisation that becomes a benchmark for ATS training in the region.

The Opportunity
As Air Traffic Services Training Centre Leader – Europe, you will have full accountability for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of year‑round ATS training centre in Vienna and then later across Europe. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure regulatory excellence, deliver outstanding customer outcomes, and drive sustainable financial performance, while working closely with commercial and regional stakeholders to support growth and standardisation.
This is both a strategic and hands‑on leadership role, combining operational oversight with long‑term development of people, capability, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership for ATS Training Centre operations, delivering operational, financial, and quality objectives
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory authorities, certifications, and internal policies
Build and sustain strong, customer‑centric relationships, delivering an exceptional training experience
Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse team of instructors, technicians, and support staff of around 20 persons, set to grow over time
Own budget planning, cost control, and financial performance
Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and operational efficiency across the European network
Actively support sales and business development, leveraging operational credibility and customer engagement
Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to enable growth and scalability
About You
You are a confident, credible leader with deep experience in aviation or aerospace operations and a proven ability to manage complex, regulated environments.
You bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Education, or a related discipline
10+ years’ experience within the aviation or aerospace sector
Experience in training operations (highly desirable)
Strong, authentic people leadership skills with a track record of building engaged, high‑performing teams
Demonstrated success managing complex operations and multidisciplinary stakeholders
Commercial and financial acumen, including budget ownership and performance management
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills at senior stakeholder level
Familiarity with training technologies and Learning Management Systems (an advantage)
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a strong plus
Travel
This role requires 30–40% travel within Europe, with occasional international travel as the network grows.
