Animal Caretaker (full-time, 40 h) – Preclinical Research

Your tasks
In this position, you will take on a central role in the care of our laboratory animals and actively support our research work:

Care and care of laboratory animals (e.g. changing cages, cleaning of animal husbandry rooms, maintenance of equipment)

Supervision of the breeding of transgenic mouse and rat lines including documentation
-
Observation and control of the animals with regard to behavior and health status

Detection of diseases and participation in prevention measures

Care and care of sick animals

Professional disposal of waste

Preparation and organization of animal transport
Your profile

Experience in handling laboratory animals, ideally mice and rats

Professional experience in laboratory animal care is an advantage

Responsible, careful and flexible way of working

Physical resilience

Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays

Good knowledge of German and/or English, both written and spoken

Basic computer skills are an advantage

Salary
For this position, a collectively agreed minimum gross salary of EUR 2,528.04 per month (14× per year) applies to full-time employment (40 hours per week). Depending on qualifications and relevant professional experience, overpayment is of course possible. We will be happy to discuss the specific remuneration in a personal meeting.
