What Will You Bring as a Chef?
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing food preparation tasks, including washing vegetables, cutting and filleting fish, and slicing lamb and beef for the preparation of various dishes, while working as part of a kitchen team of approximately three colleagues under the supervision of the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking dishes while carrying out continuous quality and hygiene checks throughout the cooking process.
- Finalizing and inspecting dishes before service so that the waiting staff can collect them and place them in heated serving stations.
- Planning daily kitchen operations, ordering food products and other supplies from regular suppliers, and checking incoming deliveries.
- Supervising kitchen assistants and providing guidance and instructions where necessary.
- Cleaning your own workstation, kitchen equipment, and machinery before closing each day, and assisting kitchen assistants with thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and storing delivered goods.
- Being a reliable team player with a flexible attitude and strong communication skills.
- Contributing to quality improvements, menu development and optimization, as well as creating recipes and preparation guidelines.
- Preferred qualifications include an MBO Level 3 vocational diploma (or an equivalent qualification) with knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
What We Offer
- A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,100, based on a 38-hour working week, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (Horeca CAO).
