Chinese-Japanese Restaurant Seasons in Eindhoven is looking for three Independent Chefs (Level I) to strengthen our kitchen team.
Job Responsibilities
- Your duties include carrying out food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, cutting and filleting salmon, and preparing lamb chops and beef for a variety of dishes. You will work as part of a kitchen team of approximately five colleagues under the supervision of the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes while performing ongoing quality and hygiene checks in accordance with applicable food safety standards and guidelines.
- Finalizing dishes for service and carrying out a final quality inspection before the waiting staff (or serving robots) deliver the meals to guests.
- Planning daily kitchen operations, ordering food products and other supplies from regular suppliers, and inspecting deliveries for both quality and quantity.
- Supervising kitchen assistants, providing instructions, and offering guidance and support whenever necessary.
- Before closing, ensuring that your workstation is clean, cleaning kitchen equipment and machinery, and assisting with the cleaning of the entire kitchen and the proper storage of delivered goods.
- Contributing to continuous quality improvement, suggesting optimizations, and assisting in the development and updating of menus, recipes, and preparation instructions.
Job Requirements
- A completed MBO Level 3 vocational qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
- A genuine team player with a flexible attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive and responsible work ethic.
Employment Conditions
- Gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,100, based on a 38-hour working week, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (Horeca CAO).
- A temporary employment contract for a minimum period of one year.
