As Group Lead Engineer – Fill & Finish, you will lead the engineering strategy for F&F, ensuring alignment with global production, technical standards, and business goals. You will provide technical guidance, mentor teams, drive standardization and innovation, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements.
The position will be located at one of our production sites: Vienna (Austria), Springe (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden) or Lingolsheim (France).

Your main tasks and responsibilities
Represent Global Engineering as Engineering Lead for Fill & Finish activities in local investment projects
Collaborate with local Project Lead Engineers to ensure high-quality engineering and process design deliverables
Define and review design requirements
Plan and develop process units and systems, including layouts and functional flows
Develop and review project descriptions and process flow diagrams
Coordinate design engineers and process equipment suppliers
Ensure implementation of Octapharma engineering concepts and standards in projects
Evaluate and compare technical and commercial solutions
Ensure proposed solutions and engineering documentation meet cGMP requirements
Collaborate with corporate functions and local engineering teams to develop design solutions and standards that support capacity, efficiency and other business requirements
Support implementation of engineering standards at local sites and contribute to their continuous development
Act as an internal consultant and technical expert within the area of expertise
Your expertise and ideal skill set
Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
10+ years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including implementation of new processes
Proven track record in managing engineering projects and providing technical or functional leadership
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align stakeholders, communicate effectively and drive results across functions
Proactive and results-oriented, with sound business judgment and an open mindset towards innovation and continuous improvement

The corporate Technical organization is organized into the departments of Engineering, Maintenance and Automation
The team is mainly responsible for Strategic development and capacity development of the group
The function is crucial for the operations to work in a sustainable manner
We continuously invest in the site, leading to modernization and expansion
The department/section consists of 15 people, and you report to the group Director of Engineering

The minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 4.779,83. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay wages higher than collectively agreed. This is a legal requirement in Austria which is not applicable for other sites.
