Role Purpose
You will join an international and multidisciplinary environment where technology, mobility and innovation come together. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence how Connected Vehicle solutions are designed and delivered, work on complex international projects and collaborate with experts across the Kapsch organization.
How You'll Make an Impact

Support Sales and Solutions Consultants in developing technical solution concepts for RFPs, tenders and RFIs

Assess requirements, develop solution approaches and contribute to technical and cost estimates
-
Develop and document logical system architectures and ensure proposed solutions meet technical, performance and contractual requirements
-
Identify technical and operational risks and contribute to RFP/project risk assessments and mitigation strategies
-
Lead or contribute to special assignments aimed at improving existing products, developing new solutions or enhancing operational processes

Support Product Managers in identifying project-specific product enhancements and R&D requirements
-
Contribute to product roadmaps based on customer and project requirements

Support awarded projects by working with Project Managers and customers to clarify and translate requirements into actionable and unambiguous technical solutions

Lead the technical effort on selected RFPs and/or projects when required
-
Support the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, testing and training

Ensure projects meet agreed requirements regarding scope, quality, cost and timelines

Maintain close collaboration with internal stakeholders across Traffic, Tolling, Sales and Project Management
What Makes You a Great Fit
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
5+ years of experience working on technical projects, tender and cost-estimation development
-
Extensive knowledge of the Connected Vehicle domain, including relevant regulatory, programmatic, and technical standards
-
Strong knowledge of CV standards, ideally including: ETSI, CEN (Europe); SAE, IEEE, ITE (North America); ISO, ITU (Global)

Solid understanding of Connected Vehicle technologies, use cases and applications

Knowledge of CV security systems and credential management

Ability to interpret functional, institutional and performance requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Experience creating logical system architecture diagrams using common software tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and propose alternative solutions

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
-
Fluent German and English, any other language would be an advantage (Spanish, French, Portuguese)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with traffic engineering principles; knowledge of traffic signal control and urban/multimodal transportation management
