About the Role
Want to gain hands-on experience in how a modern university actually works behind the scenes?
As a Working Student in Enrollment & Registration, you’ll join our Quality Team within University Operations — the team that helps ensure our students receive a smooth experience and that our university continues to meet the high standards behind our state-recognized degrees.
You’ll work across three important areas: Enrollment & Registration, Accreditation, and Governance. From keeping student records accurate and supporting learners with administrative questions to helping prepare data and documentation for accreditation, you’ll get a real insight into the operational side of higher education.
This is not just a “support” role. You’ll take ownership of meaningful tasks, work closely with our Quality Team Lead, and develop practical experience in university administration, student services, data quality, and regulatory processes.
What You’ll Do
Help Keep the Student Journey Running Smoothly
- Keep student records accurate and up to date, including status and program changes
- Process and track leave of absence requests
- Prepare official student documents such as enrollment confirmations, visa letters, transcripts, and tax or employer certificates
- Help us improve and streamline document templates so processes become faster and easier
Support Our Students
- Be a friendly and reliable point of contact for students with enrollment and administrative questions via email, Slack, and video calls
- Guide students through self-service registration processes
- Help solve day-to-day questions and know when to involve the Quality Team Lead for more complex cases
Work with Data That Matters
- Support the preparation of semester data for official university statistics
- Check student records for completeness and spot inconsistencies before they become problems
- Help improve the quality and consistency of our student data over time
️ Get an Inside Look at Quality & Accreditation
- Support the organization and formatting of governance documents, including meeting minutes and decision logs
- Help prepare and organize documentation for accreditation and regulatory reviews
- Contribute to other Quality Team projects and get exposure to how a state-recognized private university maintains its academic and regulatory standards
✨ What You Bring
You don’t need to know everything about university administration already. What matters most is that you’re curious, reliable, and enjoy working carefully.
- You’re detail-oriented and organized — you notice when something doesn’t quite add up
- You enjoy helping people and communicate patiently, clearly, and professionally
- You’re comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and structured information such as Excel or Google Sheets
- You understand the importance of confidentiality and accurate data
- You have fluent or advanced German and English, both written and spoken
- You’re currently enrolled at a recognized university and will maintain Werkstudent status until at least September 2027
A Plus, But Definitely Not a Must
- Previous experience in student services, a university registrar or enrollment office, or academic administration
- Some familiarity with German higher education or accreditation
- Experience writing formal documents or professional correspondence
What You’ll Learn
This role is a great fit if you’re interested in higher education, operations, student experience, quality management, or administration and want more than a typical student job.
You’ll gain practical experience in:
- University operations and student administration
- Working with official records and institutional data
- Student communication and service
- Accreditation and quality processes
- Process improvement in a growing, modern university
- Most importantly, you’ll have the chance to take on real responsibility while learning from an experienced team.
