What Will You Bring as an Independent Chef 1?
1. Your responsibilities include carrying out preparatory kitchen tasks such as washing vegetables, cutting and filleting salmon, preparing lamb chops and beef, and assisting in the preparation of various dishes. You will work in a kitchen team of approximately 10 colleagues under the supervision of the Head Chef.
2. Preparing and cooking dishes while performing ongoing quality and hygiene checks.
3. Finalizing and inspecting dishes before service, ensuring they are ready for handover to the service staff for placement at the warming stations.
4. Planning daily kitchen activities, ordering food products and other stock replenishments from regular suppliers, and checking delivered goods.
5. Supervising kitchen assistants, providing guidance, instructions, and support where necessary.
6. Cleaning your workstation, kitchen equipment, and machinery before closing each day, and assisting kitchen helpers with the thorough cleaning of the kitchen and the storage of delivered goods.
7. Being a strong team player with a flexible attitude and good communication skills.
8. Contributing to quality improvements, menu optimization and adjustments, as well as developing recipes and preparation instructions.
9. Preferred qualifications include an MBO Level 3 diploma or equivalent education, with knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
What We Offer
· A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,100 based on a 38-hour work week, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (CAO), including 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance.
· A temporary employment contract of at least one year.
