Do you have a passion for optomechatronic systems – and want more than just designing?
Then help shape the next generation of our high-precision projectors at IN-VISION.
- Systemic Thinking, Precise Implementation: Combine mechanics, optics, and electronics into robust, production-ready products.
-
Benchmark & Teardown: Analyze systems, identify strengths and weaknesses, and translate findings into concrete design decisions.
-
Cost-Out & Robustness: Identify cost drivers, optimize bills of materials, tolerance-critical areas, and manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA, VAVE).
-
Prototyping: Introduce new concepts, evaluate them quickly (rapid prototyping, testing), and support them through to series production.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with optics and electronics teams – translate requirements, moderate trade-offs, and make informed decisions.
-
Everyday Design Work: 3D design of assemblies/components, standard-compliant drawings (GD&T), fixtures for testing & production, change management in PLM
- Completed technical education (University of Applied Sciences/University/Technical School) and several years of experience in precision/fine mechanics, mechatronics, or similar fields.
-
Strong foundation in mechanical design: tolerance analysis, manufacturing processes, surfaces/fits, materials & joining techniques; standard-compliant drawings (ISO/GD&T).
-
Excellent 3D CAD skills (preferably PTC Creo) and experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
-
Experience with DFM/DFA, value analysis (VAVE), FMEA/root cause methods (5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D).
-
Structured, independent work style, curiosity, creativity – and enthusiasm for thinking across system boundaries.
-
Affinity for industrial design.
-
Good English skills.
- Projects from quotation to prototyping to series production – real creative freedom instead of just feature-tuning.
-
International environment (EU/Asia/USA) and short decision-making paths in a 50+ person team.
-
Training opportunities, flexible hours, remote work option, and a culture of respect.
