The Breakdown:
The Retention Marketing Specialist is an integral part of our Digital Marketing team. They drive customer retention, engagement, and loyalty for our DTC business with a primary focus on email marketing, SMS, CRM, and customer lifecycle strategies, with secondary responsibility for supporting our loyalty program.
What You Get to Do:
- Campaign Management: Develop and execute email, SMS, and CRM campaigns to acquire, retain, and reactivate customers, including automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement).
- Segmentation & Personalization: Apply data-driven segmentation and personalization strategies to optimize performance across the full customer lifecycle.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze customer data to identify improvement opportunities; measure churn, repeat purchase rates, and LTV in close collaboration with the analytics team.
- Testing & Optimization: Continuously A/B test subject lines, content, send times, and audience segments to improve open, click-through, and conversion rates.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, paid media, and acquisition teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from first purchase through retention.
- Loyalty: Own the loyalty program in the EU to drive repeat purchases and customer advocacy; report regularly on key KPIs including revenue, retention rate, and conversion.
What You'll Bring to The Team:
- 3-5+ years of experience in retention marketing, email marketing, or general CRM for a DTC business.
- Experience with customer segmentation, automation, and lifecycle marketing principles with a playbook for the types of segments and automation needed to drive revenue and engagement for a DTC business.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in A/B testing, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with loyalty programs and customer engagement strategies is a plus.
- A passion for bringing compelling, engaging stories to life through email marketing.
- An understanding of email marketing best-practice for the purpose of driving open rate, click-through rate, and ultimately conversion.
