The Build Plan Manager (BPM) owns the global Build Plan across Lam’s manufacturing network, ensuring that demand, capacity, material readiness, and site allocation are structurally aligned to enable stable, feasible, and scalable execution. Operating at the mid‑ to long‑term planning horizon, the BPM translates demand signals, corporate priorities, financial objectives, and operational constraints into a coherent and executable global build plan across multiple sites and regions.
This role is critical to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and operates at the intersection of Global Production Planning and Capacity Planning, while engaging with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Logistics, and Inventory & Product Groups. The BPM ensures demand and financial objectives are translated into an executable production strategy that the global manufacturing network can reliably deliver.
The BPM is accountable for shaping the build strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating structural and systemic risks, maintaining planning data integrity, and driving global standardization and continuous improvement. The role serves as a central governance point between planning and execution, ensuring that downstream operations are enabled by a stable, credible, and well‑governed plan.
Success in this role requires strong strategic judgment, deep analytical capability, and the ability to influence decisions across functions and geographies. The BPM must balance competing priorities, make informed trade‑offs, and clearly communicate the implications of planning decisions to protect delivery commitments, optimize capacity, and support long‑term scalability.
