What do you bring as a chef?
- Your duties include carrying out preparatory work, such as washing vegetables, cutting and filleting fish, and cutting lamb and beef for the preparation of various dishes, together with a kitchen team of approximately four colleagues headed by the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking dishes and carrying out interim quality and hygiene checks.
- Preparing and checking dishes before serving, after which the waiting staff can take them over for placement in the heated serving chafing dishes.
- Planning daily tasks, ordering food products and other stock replenishments from regular suppliers, and checking ordered food products.
- Supervising the work of kitchen assistants, and giving directions and instructions.
- Cleaning your own work area, kitchen equipment, and machines daily before closing, and assisting any kitchen assistant present with the full cleaning of the kitchen, as well as storing delivered goods.
- Being a good team player with a flexible attitude and good communication skills.
- Contributing to quality improvement and optimization, as well as adjusting menus and developing recipes and preparation instructions.
- The desired job requirements are MBO level 3 or a comparable qualification, with knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
What do we offer in return?
- A gross salary between €2,600 and €3,100 based on a 38-hour working week, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Industry Collective Labour Agreement, including 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance.
