The Technical Service Operations Expert (m/f/d) provides advanced technical expertise and operational support for the Jenbacher J920 engine platform across the installed fleet. The role ensures effective resolution of complex technical issues, supports service excellence, and drives continuous improvement in engine reliability, availability, and customer satisfaction through close collaboration with Service, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities:

Serve as a link between Service, Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Field Operations, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and alignment on technical topics

Act as a key technical contact for complex and escalated service cases related to engine performance, reliability, and operability

Support troubleshooting activities by analyzing operational data, field findings, and technical reports to identify root causes and define corrective actions

Collaborate closely with Field Service, Technical Support, Engineering, Quality, and Product Management to ensure timely and sustainable issue resolution

Drive technical clarification and follow-up of critical fleet issues to improve engine availability and customer satisfaction

Support the development and implementation of service recommendations, technical instructions, and operational best practices

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by transferring field experience and lessons learned into product and service enhancements

Participate in technical reviews, internal alignment meetings, and customer discussions for high-priority operational topics

Ensure compliance with INNIO safety, quality, and compliance standards in all technical support and service-related activities

Support knowledge sharing and technical capability building across the service organization
Your Profile:

Technical degree in engineering from an University or a degree from a higher technical college (e.g., HTL) with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in technical service, engineering, or operations within the power generation or gas engine industry

Strong experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues

Proven track record of working in cross-functional and international environments

Experience in supporting or leading technical improvement initiatives and service-related projects

Solid understanding of engine systems, controls, and plant operation, ideally with exposure to the Jenbacher J920 platform

Strong knowledge of Jenbacher gas engine technology, ideally the J920 platform
-
Good understanding of engine operation, service processes, and troubleshooting
-
Knowledge of engine systems, controls, auxiliaries, and plant integration
-
Experience in root cause analysis and technical problem solving
-
Ability to interpret technical documentation and operational data
-
Understanding of cross-functional service and engineering processes
-
Fluency in German and English
