Job Duties:
- Independent research and active participation in cooperative research projects of the institute, in particular, in the development, evaluation, and practical application of machine learning methods (especially deep learning)
- Publication of scientific results in renowned international journals and conferences
- Teaching of courses as well as planning and supervising of exams (especially in labs and practicals) in the field of Artificial Intelligence both at Bachelor and Master level
- Preparation and updating of teaching materials and examination documents
- Support in the supervision of Bachelor and Master theses
- Support with administrative tasks in the field of teaching
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold a Doctorate/PhD degree or equivalent in machine learning or closely related field
- Experience with teaching on university level
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical inference
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Full command of English (English level B2), full command of German (German level B2)
- Preferred: Insights into administrative processes and the curriculum of the JKU Artificial Intelligence program
- Willingness and ability to work in a team and to support students and young colleagues
What We Offer:
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 5,014.30 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
