Country Manager – Austria
As Country Manager Austria, you will build Burgermeister’s presence in the country from the ground up. You are responsible for establishing and scaling the business locally - from site selection and lease negotiations to opening stores, building teams, and driving operational excellence.
You act as the founder of the market, owning full P&L responsibility and reporting directly to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead market expansion from first site identification through to store openings and scaling operations
Identify and secure prime locations, including lease negotiations and feasibility analysis
Build and scale the local organisation (Shift Leaders Assistant Managers Store Managers Area Managers)
Own full market performance including P&L and key operational KPIs (Revenue, COGS, Speed, Quality, Waste, Guest Satisfaction)
Lead all pre-opening activities including hiring, training, setup, and launch execution
Ensure consistent execution of Burgermeister standards across all stores
Drive cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Training, and Marketing
Ensure compliance with local food safety and occupational health regulations
Report directly to senior leadership on performance, risks, and growth opportunities
What You Bring
Proven leadership in QSR, fast-casual, or multi-unit F&B operations
Track record in market expansion and pre-opening management
Strong P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting experience
Hands-on entrepreneurial mindset and passion for operational excellence
Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills
Fluent in German and English
Based in Austria or ready to relocate
