Join Raiffeisen Bank International in shaping how AI, data science, and business processes support credit risk analysis. In this role, you will work on solutions that connect data, technology, and risk management requirements to improve analysis, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
Your coding skills and creativity will be essential as you work to build and maintain these new risk management solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Design, develop and maintain Risk Intelligence use cases and processes, end-to-end (requirements prototyping
- production)
- Work with structured and unstructured data, including text, documents, tables, and reports
- Build data pipelines for ingestion, extraction (OCR/table extraction), and feature preparation
- Implement and refine machine learning and LLM-based solutions for credit risk use cases such as scoring, monitoring, document intelligence, and retrieval-based systems
- Collaborate with risk and interdisciplinary experts and international teams to launch and scale use cases
- Ensure model governance, explainability, data quality controls and alignment with regulatory requirements
- Monitor developments in AI, machine learning, and regulatory topics and apply relevant learnings in practice
- Relevant educational background in data science, STEM, economics, finance, or a comparable field, combined with experience applying machine learning or AI in a professional environment
- Experience using Python to develop, validate, and maintain machine learning or AI solutions for practical applications, such as LLM-based workflows, RAG systems, vector search, agent-based approaches, or prompt design
- Experience with version control and container-based development environments, such as Git and Docker
- Able to work independently, drive technical topics end‑to‑end and take responsibility for delivery
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, practical terms to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- English and German communication skills (C1 level), both written and verbal
- Familiarity with SQL, and Java
- Exposure to cloud or enterprise analytics platforms such as Azure or Databricks
- Experience with AI solutions in banking, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Experience with OCR, document intelligence, table extraction, or financial document analysis
- Knowledge of model governance, explainability, AI risk, data quality controls, and regulatory requirements

- Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.375,40 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined individually based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the specific requirements of the role.
