Job Duties:
- Support in the establishment and further development of the Institute of Process Engineering
- Support and expansion of the field of recyclable material processing - in particular reactive extraction
- Scale-up of technical apparatus, process development
- Modelling of chemical systems and process chains
- Independent planning and processing of research tasks and experiments of the institute as well as publication activities derived from them in the field of process engineering, in particular starting with reactive extraction
- Takeover of teaching and expansion of courses (especially the lecture and exercise Chemical Reaction Engineering, exercises, internships, co-supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses)
- Integration of the knowledge gained into teaching
- Willingness to take innovative approaches and to submit applications at national and international level
- Close cooperation with colleagues at the JKU as well as other university institutions and institutes
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary, international cooperation projects
- Takeover of the institute's IT infrastructure
- Assumption of organizational activities (e.g. security representative) of the institute as well as external representation (congresses, workshops,...)
- Implementation/takeover of industrial projects
Your Qualifications:
- Completed doctoral studies in process engineering or related fields
- Sound knowledge of reactive extraction (experimental as well as theoretical)
- Experience working with international consortia
- Familiarity with the development of a specialist area
- Programming/scripting skills for data analysis and modeling (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++)
- Experience in teaching
- Very good German and English skills (written and spoken; C1) – essential for communication, publishing and collaboration
- Strong motivation for cooperative research
- Ability to work independently, think critically and contribute to the development of new experimental and modelling methods
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage experimental campaigns and data workflows
- High degree of responsibility and scientific integrity

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 5,014.30 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
