Our Center for Energy is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in Vienna. At the Center for Energy, we work on solutions for the sustainable energy system of the future and, a particular focus lies on the development of power electronics converters for mobile applications (electric vehicles, ships, aviation) as well as grid-tied renewable energy solutions.
Our team Power Electronics & System Components covers the whole range of power electronics system development from development of novel solutions for the electricity grid, via specification and prototyping towards system test and validation and beyond. With successful collaborative research projects from emerging technologies up to demonstration we position ourselves as a reliable partner for industry.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
- Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in power electronic systems
- Expertise in medium voltage systems (up to 20 kV), high-power converters (up to MW), and isolated converter topologies.
- Understanding of medium-frequency transformer design, medium-voltage insulation systems, magnetic components, and thermal management.
- Experience with wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC preferred)
- Knowledge of power converter control strategies, including closed-loop control, PWM techniques, and digital control systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment for medium-voltage testing and power analysis
- Ability to troubleshoot complex power electronic systems
- Very good English skills (spoken and written); German skills are a nice to have.
What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 61.334,
