Our highly motivated team is looking for a Senior Scientist with experience in metallomics/metabolomics in Prof. Köllenspergers group at the Faculty of Chemistry. The successful candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams (analytical chemists, biostatistics and bioinformatics scientists). Accomplishment of research projects in the area of mass spectrometry driven metallomics/ metabolomics at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry. Furthermore, the candidate will have to teach courses independently to the extent specified in the Kollektivvertrag.
The position is initially a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position.
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Metallomics/Metabolomics

You publish internationally and give lectures- .
You apply for projects and raise third-party funds- .
You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation- .
You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement- .
You supervise your students- .
You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance- .
You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration- .
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in subject Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or similiar qualification
- Outstanding dissertation
- Experience in scientific writing and with research methods such as methodological skills: bioanalytical chemistry, liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Experience in research management and in leading project staff
- Didactic skills / experience in e-learning
- IT skills and excellent MS Office skills
- Knowledge of: Experience in mass spectrometry, laser ablation, chromatography and evaluation of data sets is a significant advantage
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
