We invite you to join the Tomazou Group at St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (St. Anna CCRI) in Vienna. Our internationally connected and interdisciplinary research group integrates fundamental biology, stem cell engineering, and computational approaches to uncover unexplored biological mechanisms, with a strong focus on pediatric cancers.
Our work bridges basic discovery and translational applications, aiming to advance biological understanding while enabling future therapeutic strategies.
We welcome applicants with experimental (wet lab), computational, or hybrid expertise. Depending on your background and interests, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and implement novel pediatric cancer models, including stem cell–based and disease‑relevant systems
- Dissect unexplored biology of pediatric cancer including mechanobiology and post-transcriptional regulation
- Employ and/or develop computational and data-driven approaches
- Work at the interface of basic biology and translational research within a highly collaborative environment
With excellent infrastructure, strong mentoring, and an outstanding track record in competitive third-party funding (including ERC Consolidator, MSCA postdoctoral, and Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds fellowships), we offer an ideal environment for postdoctoral researchers aiming to develop scientific independence and build a strong international profile.
