Your Role: Own the Challenge
As a Project Manager in Automation, you will take overall responsibility for demanding projects in the process industry (Oil & Gas, Chemicals) as well as in the hydropower sector. Leveraging your technical expertise and project management experience, you will lead projects from the proposal phase through to successful completion – both technically and commercially. In doing so, you will ensure smooth project execution, build long-term customer relationships, and make a significant contribution to the further development of our business.

Independently manage automation projects throughout the entire project lifecycle – from proposal preparation and project planning to execution and final handover to the customer.

Assume full technical and commercial responsibility for projects, including resource planning, schedule and cost control, as well as risk, claim, and change management.

Select, coordinate, and manage internal and external project partners while working closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Controlling; provide regular project status updates, opportunity assessments, and risk reports to management.

Organize and oversee on-site installations, commissioning activities, and customer acceptance tests, while identifying business opportunities and initiating follow-up projects with customers.
What it takes to Run what runs the world

Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or University degree), preferably in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Automation.

Several years of experience in managing technical projects, ideally within plant engineering, automation, or engineering environments.

Sound project management expertise combined with a strong technical understanding.

Solid commercial knowledge and experience in schedule, cost, and resource management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is considered an advantage.

Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.

Valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel within Austria (approximately 20%).

Confident personality with strong communication and teamwork skills, combined with a structured, independent, and cost-conscious approach to work.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 60.000 gross per year (May 2026). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
