As a Group Utility Engineer, you will support the development of utility infrastructure within our international engineering projects, helping to build and optimize pharmaceutical production facilities from concept to implementation. You will ensure reliable, compliant and high-performance utility solutions aligned with Octapharma’s global engineering framework.
The position will be filled in Vienna (Austria), Springe (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden) or Lingolsheim (France).

Your main tasks and responsibilities
Design and development of utility units and systems for pharmaceutical production environments
Preparation of basic layouts and detailed engineering documentation, including 2D and 3D CAD drawings
Technical calculation, sizing and specification of utility equipment and components
Development of automation concepts and design of control systems for utility applications
Preparation of technical calculations, cost estimations and request of quotation
Technical and commercial evaluation and comparison of supplier proposals
Close coordination with other design engineers, e.g. automation, process, etc.
Assistance for preparation of project descriptions as well as documents for commissioning and qualification (QPL, DQ, IQ, OQ)
Your expertise and ideal skill set
Completed technical education in mechanical, energy, electrical, process or utility engineering
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in utility engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry / GMP environment
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, physics and electrical systems
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) applications as well as proficiency in MS Office
Structured working style with the ability to perform under pressure
Willingness to travel up to 30%

Your department - where you make an impact
The Group Technical Organization consists of Group Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance. We are represented at all production sites in Europe.
You will work in a multinational organization supporting all production sites from a technical perspective.
The Engineering department mainly works on project development in the early phases of strategic projects.

Additional information (Austria only):
The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4.270,14 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
