As a university assistant you will join the research team at the Department of Musicology at the University of Vienna. The Institute was founded in 1898 by Guido Adler. With its four professorships (Early Historical Musicology, Modern Histrorical Musicology, Systematic Musicology, Ethnomusicology), twelve other full-time academic employees, lecturers, project staff members, administrative staff and around 900 students, it is one of the largest musicological institutes in the German-speaking world.
We are looking for applicants who would like to qualify themselves with their own research and subsequent dissertation in the field of ehtnomusicology and contribute to the diverse projects of our department.
The duration of the contract is 7 months (maternity leave) until 28.02.2027 with option for extension.
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of ehtnomusicology

You work on your dissertation and its completion- .
You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement- .
You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration- .
Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of ethnomusicolog

High didactic competences
