Today, we are recruiting a Senior Expert for Metro Systems & Operations Integration (m/f/d) to join our team in Austria in Vienna.
This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility. We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in metro operations to strengthen the integration between Rolling Stock and external systems. The role focuses on ensuring seamless interaction between Rolling Stock and other systems such as signalling, depot equipment, infrastructure, operations control and maintenance processes across the full project lifecycle.
What are my responsibilities?

Support R&D, bids and projects with a system-level operational perspective

Translate operator requirements, constraints and practices into engineering and design input

Contribute to assess impact of operational concepts on vehicle design

Act as Rolling Stock Interface Manager in bids and projects

Coordinate the technical interface clarifications between Rolling Stock and external interface partners
-
Ensure alignment of system boundaries, functionalities and responsibilities

Coordinate with customers, operators and partners to ensure end-to-end system performance
-
Identify issues and conflicts relating to external interfaces which could affect the project execution

Verify coherence of schedule links between ME EN activities with EN activities of interface partners

Act as the first escalation level for deviations regarding schedule & scope, and ensure resolution

In coordination with PM & contract manager: negotiate and resolve contractual conflicts and deviations

Coordinate and support verification & validation activities related to external interfaces

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Extensive experience in metro operations or operator-side system integration

Deep understanding of dependencies between Rolling Stock and external systems

Proven experience in managing complex technical interfaces across organisational boundaries

Strong knowledge of metro operations concepts (GoA2 / GoA4 environments)

Ability to translate between operations, engineering and project management perspectives

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Fluent in English

Siemens as an international company offers additional social benefits. We offer an attractive compensation package that matches your qualifications and professional experience. According to the collective agreement, the gross annual salary for this position is at least EUR 67.473,14.
