The Experience
The Senior Account Executive, Austria, is part of the Austrian Sales team at Salesforce, responsible for managing and growing a set of assigned accounts across the full Salesforce Customer 360 platform. In this role, you will build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and C-suite decision makers, develop long-term account strategies aligned with customer business objectives, and drive growth through both existing accounts and whitespace prospecting.
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive who is a natural at helping customers realise value from their Salesforce investments and thrives in a collaborative, team-selling environment.
Strategic Account Management: Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for assigned accounts in Austria, aligned with customer business objectives — building key stakeholder relationships and driving customer satisfaction across your portfolio.
Orchestrate Internal Teams: Lead the end-to-end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources including Solution Engineers, Professional Services, Executives, and Partners, while sharing the Salesforce value proposition with both existing and prospective customers.
Territory Planning: Conduct territory identification and research to formalise a go-to-market territory strategy and create a qualified target account list.
Pipeline & Whitespace Growth: Drive growth within assigned accounts through both warm leads and whitespace prospecting, using account planning, discovery, and value-based selling to identify and close opportunities.
Proven Sales Track Record: You have a proven track record of quota-carrying, technology solution-based direct sales experience, with the ability to develop account plans, identify opportunities, and drive deals through to close.
Cross-Industry Adaptability: You have proven experience engaging and closing deals with customers across diverse industries, including the ability to adapt your messaging and value propositions to different business contexts.
Master of Discovery: You are skilled at customer discovery — uncovering current processes, business challenges, and strategic goals through research and value-based hypothesis selling.
AI Savvy: You are fluent in using AI tools to drive your own sales process — and you know how to articulate the value of AI solutions to customers in a compelling, outcome-focused way.
Collaborative Mindset: You thrive in a matrixed, team-selling environment, aligning effectively with account teams, partners, and internal resources to support deal and customer success.
Language Skills: You are fluent in German and English (spoken and written) and can engage confidently across a range of communication formats and audiences.
Methodology & Business Cases: You have experience with sales methodology frameworks and the ability to develop business cases and craft strategic alliances.
Ecosystem Knowledge: You have familiarity with the broader Salesforce portfolio and experience selling Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions into Austrian enterprise accounts.
