Your Impact

As an Engineering Team Lead, you will take ownership of both the technical and people leadership responsibilities for one of our engineering teams.

You'll help shape the team's culture, support individual growth, and create an environment where engineers can do their best work. At the same time, you'll contribute to technical decisions and ensure that the solutions your team delivers create meaningful value for both our users and the business.

Your Team

Team Size: 7–9 engineers
Setup: Cross-functional and agile
Disciplines: Frontend, Backend, and QA
You will work closely with: Product Owner, UX-Design, DevOps, IT Operations

What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, helping individuals grow and perform at their best.
Act as a sparring partner to the Product Owner to shape the roadmap, align priorities, and drive successful product outcomes.
Contribute hands-on to the design, architecture, and implementation of backend systems and web services.
Make and own technical decisions and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Continuously improve the team's agile ways of working and delivery processes.
Shape solution and domain design while strengthening the team’s quality culture.
Conduct interviews and play an active role in growing your team.

What You'll Bring

Required Qulifications
- Several years of professional experience in software development using .NET and C#
- At least two years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams
- Experience leveraging AI tools and practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and modern system architecture
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to engineers and stakeholders
- A hands-on mindset combined with an entrepreneurial way of thinking. You believe quality and pragmatism go hand in hand.
- Professional proficiency in German and English
Nice to Have
- Experience with Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, containers, Azure Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, Umbraco, and scale-up environments
- Knowledge of financial markets is a plus

The minimum monthly salary for this position is €5,444 gross, in accordance with the IT-collective agreement, however the salary we offer will be adjusted in line with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
