Your Impact
As a Security Engineer in the SoC/IC Security Engineering Team, you will play a key role in defining and validating the security foundations of NXP's future products.
You will:
Drive security architecture and security-by-design approaches for advanced SoCs and secure embedded systems.
Define security requirements and translate them into innovative hardware, firmware, and software security mechanisms.
Assess and challenge security architectures to identify weaknesses before products reach the market.
Lead and coordinate threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses across the entire product lifecycle.
Investigate security vulnerabilities and drive root-cause analysis of security issues.
Partner with global product development teams, security architects, customers, and certification labs.
Contribute to the development of next-generation security features and secure IP blocks.
Support security certifications and compliance with internationally recognized security standards.
Mentor and advise engineers on secure design principles, verification methodologies, and emerging threats.
Stay at the forefront of industry developments in embedded and semiconductor security.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for security professionals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and want to influence security at scale.
Essential Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Strong understanding of SoC, IC, or embedded system architectures
Experience with embedded system design and secure hardware/software interaction
Understanding of security principles and secure development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
Experience in one or more of the following areas will help you thrive in this role:
Security architecture for embedded or semiconductor products
Cryptography and cryptographic implementations
Hardware security mechanisms
Side-Channel Analysis (SCA)
Fault Injection (FI) and fault attack mitigation
Secure boot, root of trust, key management, and secure provisioning
Security IP development
Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of embedded systems
Hardware Description Languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL)
Security verification and validation methodologies
Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
