About the Project
Operexa is seeking highly proficient bilingual linguists who are fluent in both Italian and German to participate in a language and speech data collection project. This project supports the development and improvement of artificial intelligence, speech recognition systems, machine learning models, and multilingual language technologies.
Selected participants will engage in scheduled Zoom-based recording sessions involving natural conversations, guided discussions, and language interaction tasks in both Italian and German.
This is a remote opportunity with flexible scheduling and project-based compensation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Zoom-based audio recording sessions.
- Engage in natural conversations in both Italian and German.
- Follow project guidelines and recording instructions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication throughout recording sessions.
- Assist in generating high-quality multilingual speech data.
- Ensure recordings accurately reflect natural language usage and pronunciation.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Italian and German.
- Ability to switch naturally between Italian and German during conversations.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable participating in recorded Zoom sessions.
- Access to a reliable computer, headset, and stable internet connection.
- Quiet environment suitable for professional audio recordings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or background in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Interpretation, Philology, Communication, Education, or related fields.
- Experience in language annotation, transcription, translation, localization, or linguistic research.
- Familiarity with regional dialects and accents within Italian-speaking and German-speaking regions.
- Previous participation in language data collection or AI training projects.
